Internet Use in the High School Classroom Using Email, Mailing Lists,
Discussion Boards, Online Quizzes, and More August
15 , 2002 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Workshop participants will become aware of numerous ways that the Internet can help a classroom teacher. They will learn how it can be used to foster effective teacher-student and student-student communication via email, mailing lists, discussion boards, posted grades, and more. Participants will also be able to create online quizzes and post Web pages to support their teaching endeavors. Most of these online tools are free or inexpensive and within the reach of a teacher with casual Internet experience. Puzzle Makers puzzlemaker.com - Discovery's great puzzle maker. The puzzles can be printed out or they can be used by students interactively while online. Puzzles that are created here can be stored permanently on the apte.com web site but you must first set up a free account.
