Basic Programming Final Exam Review

The exam will focus on the material that we covered since the midterm exam, however you will still have to used syntax, structures, and algorithms from the first semester as well.

You will take the exam on Wednesday June 11 from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. in Room 217.

Bring a few sharpened, #2 pencils. Also, bring your textbook to the exam so that Mr. Minich can collect it. (You will not be allowed to use the textbook since the exam is closed-book.) Before the exam, clean out your textbook by removing its bookcover, removing paper that may be kept in it, and erasing any pencil marks.

The most important thing that you can do to prepare for the final exam is to take this Practice Final Exam. It is very similar to the actual final exam in size, in scope and with regard to the types of problem. Then, you can check your answers HERE. (Tell Mr. Minich if any of the questions do not match up exactly with the posted answers version.)

Recommended Study Strategy:

  1. Look over the chapter vocab lists, especially for those chapters that we have covered since the midterm exam. Identify the words that you do not remember and look them up. If you still have your chapter vocab assignment files review them as well.

  2. Review the online class lecture notes from each chapter, especially those covered since the midterm exam.

  3. Review all of the demo programs found in our class Web site. Be sure to read the internal documentation in those programs.
